(2) Background of proposition

People depend on food, and granary buildings provide "containers" for food storage.。Henan is a large grain production province and the largest wheat production province in China. Since the 1960s, silo construction has gradually risen, and it is still one of the important silo types in grain storage buildings, with unique spatial characteristics in many industrial buildings。

(3) Theme analysis

Granary from the early "granary granary" to today's modern granary, showing diversified forms。Silo mechanical performance is superior, single silo plane shape has square, rectangle, polygon and circle, single silo combination can be grouped silo, which can be called star silo between silo and silo, storage space is fully utilized。Henan University of Technology is the first food-related college established in New China, and food features are also the keynote of campus environment design。The participants are hereby invited to design and build a group of rest places for teachers and students along the lake side of the central landscape of Henan University of Technology with the design theme of "Tube · Collection" (see Annex 1)。Through the physical construction, it expresses the designer's conception of form and space experience of "cylinder · collection", as well as the understanding and application of materials, structure and construction。

The model material should be "white hollow plastic board", and the 1:1 solid model should be built on site. The side length of the bottom side and the maximum vertical size should not be greater than 3 meters. At the same time, A4 display boards (2 ~ 4 pieces) and video files should be provided to assist, and the corresponding description of the structural system should be provided。

The scheme should reflect the plane characteristics of the bin and have the combination of the group bin.Teachers and students can walk through, can stay, can bear the load pressure test of two adults sitting still;The work focuses on the spatial expression of the design intention and the rational use of the material structure, and can use a small amount of auxiliary connecting materials (only transparent tape and plastic bolts).。

3. Selection Method

This competition is divided into "preliminary" and "final" two stages。

The preliminary stage starts from the date of notification. Each participating school will organize itself and select 1-2 teams to participate in the final. They will submit the draft plan (floor plan and effect drawing) on September 20, fill in the Application form for the 10th Henan Provincial College Students Architectural Model Competition (see Attachment 2) and submit it to the email of the Organizing committee。

Final stage tentatively scheduled for October 2024 (subject to subsequent notice)，Each participating team will make the model components in advance，Physical construction was carried out on site in Henan University of Technology (Lianhua Street Campus, Zhengzhou High-tech Zone, Henan Province)，7 ~ 9 experts were invited by Henan Civil Engineering and Architecture Society and the Organizing committee to form the final jury，Expert group on-site assessment，Rank by high or low score。

4. Registration

Students majoring in civil engineering and architecture in colleges and universities in Henan Province can participate in the competition。

Registration is based on universities, each university can organize 1 ~ 2 teams to participate;Each team shall have no more than 8 students and no more than 2 instructors;Each participating university designates one teacher as the leader;All participating universities are required to purchase short-term commercial insurance for participating students。

This competition requires the use of white hollow plastic plate material, the final plate used by the respective teams to solve, the material specifications refer to the following:
